BridgeAcademy

I am an instructor in a teen pregnancy prevention program called the Bridge Academy. We use a multisystemic approach to educating youth to make informed choices for their futures and delay child birth in their lives after the second decade. The youth are currently in the 8th grade and are of both genders. In my component they address a broad spectrum of issues and topics impacting young people at each age and stage of development; these universal topics relate to self, peers, family and community. Topics include self-perception, problem solving, effective communication, healthy relationships, understanding and acceptance of differences and diversity, family and community violence, loss, grief and trauma. We are very excited to join the postcrossing community and look forward to communicating with the incredible diverse population of our world.
