About BabyTree...

Hello World!

I'm a little Redwood Tree! I live with my family in Michigan. My family members are all avid Postcrossers, so when one of the little boys in my family drew the address for an account that belonged to a tree, they all knew right away that I would love to have an account like that, too. My whole family helps me send postcards to other Postcrossers, so you may receive a card from any of us. We will try to pick a card that you like, or we may send you a card featuring some of my older cousins.

I've lived with my family for 9 years, and I was just a tiny, little redwood tree when they got me. I was so small compared to all the other trees on their land, that they called me "BabyTree." Well, the name stuck, but I'm not the smallest tree anymore! I'm already 19 feet (almost 6 m) tall! And I get a little taller every year. My family is so proud of me, and they all love me very much. When you send me a postcard, you can rest assured that they will bring it out and read it to me!

So what kind of postcards would I like? Well, being a tree, I LOVE nature related cards. I'm sure I'll like any card you send, but here are some ideas, if you are stuck:

-Pictures of other TREES!
-Leaves
-Pinecones
-Nature Items like mushrooms, stones, etc.
-Nature scenery
-Lakes, ponds, and rivers
-Fruits
-Flowers
-Forests/trails

or anything you like!

Or....
If you'd rather write to one of my sisters, you could write to Lemony (she lives inside when it gets cold, and is awake all winter. She especially likes Lemon cards since she's a lemon tree), or Ember (she's a young sugar maple and turns bright, fiery red orange and yellow in the fall, she loves autumn or maple postcards). Just write their name on the postcard/address instead of mine, and my family will make sure to read it to them.

We can't wait to hear from you!
