Hello. My name is Emily and I live in Waverly, Ohio, USA.

I like books/reading, dogs, wandering through cemeteries, ginko leaves, the sound of monks chanting, wildflowers, the song of a whippoorwill, classic cars, the paranormal, Random Acts of Kindness, teddy bears, Valentine's Day, shopping at thrift/antique stores, the scent of lilacs, rainy days, the art of Rene Magritte, and men in kilts.

things that are quirky or witty

cards with bright colors

architecture, art, statues, and fountains

ruins (abbeys, castles, etc)

installations for World Fairs (i.e. Atomium in Brussels, Space Needle in Seattle, Unisphere in New York)

I also like ad/free cards, and well-done handmade cards.

Some things I would prefer not to receive:

clowns (they're scary!)

Norman Rockwell or Anne Geddes art

spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies

I prefer my postcards stamped and sent "au naturel" (no envelope); the traveled look adds to the appeal of the card, and I find stamps to be enchanting in their own right.
