Kia Ora!

I live in Christchurch in New Zealand. I'm studying postgrad English. I have completed my BA in English and Classics. I really love Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece and would love to explore the museums and historical sites some day! Pompeii is at the top of my Places To Go list.
I love art and often buy cards with illustrations or famous pieces of art to hang in my room. My favourites are Alphonse Mucha illustrations. I also really love vintage travel posters, especially ones depicting hotels. I have a book about hotel travel stickers and the images are just gorgeous! I like to buy postcards with vintage travel posters of New Zealand to send.

I spend a lot of time reading, watching movies and TV, and knitting. NZ has lots of sheep so I try to buy NZ wool. Some of my favourite shows at the moment are - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Sleepy Hollow, Teen Wolf, Elementary, Grimm, and Fargo. Welcome to Night Vale is my favourite podcast.

Canterbury - the region I live in - suffered two major earthquakes in September 2010 and February 2011. A lot of our historical buildings were damaged or demolished. Many postcards still show buildings which no longer stand. We are slowly rebuilding, but it is very tough.
