A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I am a child of West Indian parents that hail from Trinidad and Tobago. We are mixed with Black(not African) and Asian Indian mostly and much of our family is mixed with many other races that include Chinese, Dominican, White, Venezuelan etc. What can I say? We're well rounded. :) I, myself, was born in New York after my parents moved to America and found each other.

My first name is Muslim and also from Arabic, African, Turkish and Swahili origin. Translated loosely, it means: "rightly guided". It is the feminine version of the name Rashid. However, I am NOT Muslim although many people in my family are in that religion OR married to someone in that religion. I personally am Roman Catholic. :) My last name, Brathwaite, hails from English origin and can also be spelled "Braithwaite" with an "i" in there. My last name has many times been misspelled as the latter version. My mom's maiden last name is Francois and obviously hails from French origin. ^_^

I love traveling, reading, watching movies and listening to music. I also like to write. I work for the government collecting statistics and demographics. I also like to make jewelry and crafts.

I am single but I do wish to get married one day. I also love children and wish to be a mother someday. Just haven't met Mr. Right yet. :)

I live in Texas and hate the hot weather. I am more of a winter type girl and love winter scenes.

I am also an avid gamer and love to play computer and video games when I have a free moment. I also love the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series.
