I am a high school World History teacher in Tucson, Arizona. I also help sponsor a club on campus that is made up of high school students who are fundraising in preparation for travel to Europe over Spring Break. In 2016, we traveled to Italy, 2017 was Spain, 2018 was Germany, and in 2019 we traveled China (Beijing and Shanghai).
The current pandemic shut down our 2020 trip to 5 countries in Eastern Europe, and we are waiting to see what happens with our 2021 trip to Scotland and Ireland.
In my personal time, I love to be with my husband and my two children. I also love to be outside - hiking and backpacking, swimming, running, cycling - I love it all.

I share the postcards I get with my boys at home - we read the postcards and find the places on a map. I also share then with my students, both in my classes and in my club.
I think it's so important to get a glimpse of other cultures in order to expand our own understanding of the world.
