I am from Pennsylvania, but moved to Georgia in 1991. I am married to a wonderful man. I have 2 daughters, 2 step daughters,1 step son, 3 fish, and two dogs named Frosti and Baabi.
I spent almost 13 years in the United States Navy as a Radioman. I loved serving my country. I have been retired for a few years now from a well known Corporate environment and stay busy with my youngest daughter whom I homeschooled for 5 1/2 years and decided to put her in a private school this year, but I will be a volunteer to help with their community service projects. I do have a small part time job working to keep somewhat active in a golf shop for our subdivision.
My husband and I were foster parents to 19 foster children (not all at the same time) (we were blessed to adopt 1 beautiful little girl), and then we became host parents to 5 beautiful foreign exchange high school students from 3 different countries so far.
The small town we live in is famous because of Country Music Star Trisha Yearwood who was born and raised here, plus for the movie called "My Cousin Vinny" most of the movie was filmed here. The store in the movie is right down the street from my house and the court house is approximately 11 miles away. Many famous movies have been made in several of our surrounding counties. We live approximately 40 miles south of Atlanta and 40 miles north of Macon.
I collect angels, dolls and lighthouses. I love to work puzzles and read many types of books, especially real stories (biographies, history etc.). We love different types of music as well, but our favorite is country, Christian, jazz, classical and Irish music.
My family loves to learn about many areas of America as well as countries and then we travel to them. Our favorite travel place so far has been Italy, Barcelona, Spain and the Caribbean. We are very active in our community. We love meeting and getting to know people.
