Slave Bell
Known locally as the Slave Bell, the bell at the top of the plane tree
avenue in the National Botanical Gardens was placed there in 1958 to mark
the golden jubilee of the planting of the 46 trees in 1908. The bell comes
from the British Admiralty yacht "Lady Enchantress, which took Sir Winston
Churchill to Norway after World War II.
