On entering the Pietermaritzburg City Hall one is struck by the magnificent stained glass displays and massive pipe organ, which is the LARGEST south of the equator. It has 3806 pipes ranging in size from 11 metres down to the
thickness of a knitting needle. Various exhibitions and concerts are held at the City Hall, including frequent visits by the KwaZulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra"
