Autumn, Navajo Loop Trail, The highest elevations of Bryce Canyon National Park, UNESCO Site, roughly 9,000 feet, support a rich forest of fir, spruce, pine, and aspen. The deciduous aspen puts on a magnificent show each fall, competing handsomely with the surrounding cliffs. Sharing the forests are coyotes, squirrels, marmots, mule deer, porcupine, elk, cougar, bighorn sheep, black bear and a wide variety of seasonal bird life, including hawks and eagles.
