This aerial view of one of the two islands that form the historic heart of Paris shows you left at Notre-Dame Cathedral (11 - 13 centuries); on the right, the Hotel Dieu (Hospital); in the background, the Palace of Justice. The stamp represents the coat of arms of Paris. The motto of our capital is in Latin: "Fluctuat nec mergitur" - which can be translated as: "It is beaten by the waves, but does not sink" |
