Michael I (romanized: Mikhail Fyodorovich Romanov; July 1596 – July 1645) was Tsar of all Russia from 1613 to 1645, after the Zemsky Sobor elected him to rule Russia. He was the first tsar of the House of Romanov, which succeeded the Rurik dynasty.
