Australia Post features a selection of news headline events from the 20th century in a maxicard and stamp issue.

The four domestic base-rate (60c) stamps feature "news headlines" announcing the end of World War II in 1945; the Moon landing in 1969; Cyclone Tracy in 1974 and our America's Cup win in 1983.

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made news around the world when they became the first men to set foot on the Moon on 21 July, 1969. This stamp features a photo capturing this significant moment in time. Armstrong's words, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind", have since become historic.
