Your postcard will be part of a worldwide art project called, "WDYDWYD?"

Please send postcards that answer, "WDYDWYD?" in a creative way by combining an image and text on the FRONT of the postcard.

You can simply take any postcard and write on the photo with a magic marker, or do something even more artistic to it. You can see some examples here: http://wdydwyd.com/anonymous

The "WDYDWYD" question can be translated either as:

1) Why Did You Do What You Did?
2) Why Do You Do What You Do?

You can take a photo of yourself, make a collage, write by hand, draw, glue objects, etc. Be candid, honest & imaginative. Tell a secret if you want (I'll keep it anonymous if you write "anonymous" in the return address).

You can answer "WDYDWYD?" however you want and about whatever you want, but try to 1) reveal your unique story, and 2) dig a few layers deeper than your first answer. For example, if you say, "Because it makes me happy." Go one step further: why does it make you happy?
