I live in Helsinki, but spend a lot of time in the country in northern Carelia as well. My favourite hobbies are photography, dogs, golf,wild nature, knitting, reading and languages. As a new hobby I'm learning geocaching. I also love Lapland and hiking. In autumn when the nights get dark, I like to read, knit and work and play with my computer. I also like cartoons and animations, Tintin, Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit,Tinga Tinga characters and everything by Hayao Miyazaki are among my favourites.

Favourite themes for postcards: wild birds (especially puffins and brown pelicans), manatees, scenery,maps, volcanoes, forests and wild flowers, weather and space, glaciers, underwater world, golf courses,cards with various handicrafts, and Unesco World Heritage sites. I am not a fan of cards with actors, but all cards (except ad-cards and improper ones) are welcome.

I have a dog, a wire-haired fox terrier, 5 years. She is a very good companion, full of energy and always ready for a good outing. She likes fetching balls and frisbees, and above all she loves agility and digging.. She is the favourite object of my photos.

I joined Postcrossing because I like sending and receiving cards from all over the world, and at the same time getting to know new people and new places. I prefer my cards written, dated, and with a nice stamp. All cards received are registered and scanned the same day the arrive, if possible. I've started to scan my sent cards as well, but I'll upload them by request only. If you haven't heard about your card within a reasonable time please let me know, it's probably lost.
