About Pirjo...

I'm a biologist and working at the University of Jyväskylä. For 8 last years I've been programming software for web. I'm also a birdwatcher and would love to receive postcards with birds on them.

My other hobbies are handicraft, good music, writing, backpacking and I love all kind of photographs. So any kind of beautiful scenery, landscape or for example black and white photo of people is also very welcome. Take a look at my favorites. Many of them I have not yet received.

Lately I've noticed that bears are also my favorite animals - in postcards - and many other animals in their natural environment. I also love many of the sunset cards and colorful autumn cards. Hmmm... and freezing winter cards, too. :)

In November and December I'm glad about a typical Christmas/Holidays card of your country, if you have some kind of celebration in that time of year.

If you don't know what to send me, send a card that tells about you and what you like most.

FOR US AND CANADIAN POSTCROSSERS: Please, be careful with the number 7 in my address. We write it in a different way here in Europe and I think it can be mistaken as number 1 here if the horizontal stroke up is not long enough. If you want to be very sure, draw a horizontal line also through the middle. Some of American cards have expired because of the misleading number seven, I think.
