About Małgorzata...

Hello,

I'm Małgorzata and I live in a small village in southern Poland, in Upper Silesia.
Collecting postcards has been my hobby for about 10 years - I started as a child. Now I'm 21 and I have over 1500 postcards in my collection.

In my free time I like reading, taking photos and watching anime (Japanese animated cartoons). I'm also interested in genetics, autistic spectrum, ski jumping and French art of the 19th century (my favourite artist is Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec).
I study oligophrenopedagogy at the University of Silesia in Katowice.

I would like to receive cards from all over the world. I collect ONLY the postcards that show:
- landscapes (especially mountains, lakes, rivers, volcanoes, waterfalls, winter landscapes, caves, etc.)
- national parks and other landmarks
- city views (skylines, night views, etc.)
- sights of your country/area (not only as famous as the Eiffel Tower)
- places important for the history of your country/area (e.g. battlefields, memorials, forts)
- castles and palaces
- famous universities
- churches, mosques, temples (not only the most popular ones)
- skyscrapers, towers, highest buildings in the world
- UNESCO sites
- ski jumping hills
- other interesting buildings (bridges, windmills, fountains, lighthouses, etc.)
- sunsets, sunrises and other romantic sceneries
- aurora borealis
- people in traditional/folkloric clothes
- traditional food (but no food that is everywhere, especially fast food)
- photos of famous symbols of your country (e.g. London double-decker buses)
- solar eclipse in your country (it would be fantastic, but I don't know if such postcards exist)
- something from my favourites.

I prefer REAL (not hand-made) postcards with SINGLE PHOTOS.

Please, put big postcards in envelopes! I usually receive big postcards in a poor state and it's a shame because they're often really beautiful. :(

A BIG, BIG REQUEST!
What's the most important is that I DON'T COLLECT greeting cards, postcards with pets and other animals, flowers, babies, cartoon characters, paintings, ads or anything like that. They may be nice or cute, but I'd rather learn something new about the world.
PLEASE! :)

I would be even more happy if you could write something more than short greetings, for example about:
- the place which the postcard shows
- the history or geography of your area
- traditions of your country or area
- holidays in your country
- some words in your national language (with a translation)
- what you are eating for dinner today ;)
- you, your interests, job, family, pets, thoughts, habits... everything you want to share!

I'll also try to do my best and send everyone postcards they like the most!
