About Barbara...

Hello from New Mexico,

Because I live in a high desert [7000+ ft.] there's not much water around - ocean cards are wonderful to receive. Also full moon views. Cards with tigers: my grandchild was born in the Year of the Tiger, so I have started a postcard book for him of tigers.

Asian art history, especially of the Korean kingdoms is a current study of mine.

I am a fan of cephlapods, insects and trees, tanuki. This is a great planet.
Please, no holiday cards . . .

Whatever you send, I will enjoy, I know - looking forward to seeing what turns up in my mailbox!

I register cards the same day I receive them - the next day at the latest. If you have sent a card that hasn't been registered after 30 days or so, feel free to send me a message with the ID and I will register it.

After almost a year of Postcrossing, I am still surprised at how much these brief encounters mean to me. I work on a computer, so the handwritten notes, even the shortest "Happy Postcrossing!s" remind me that a real person took a moment to write - nothing better after a day of pixel-wrestling. I think of the network that is building like a cryptobiotic soil - fragile, ephemeral and creating a place for something we can't even imagine to grow in the future.

Thanks again to all the wonderful participants of Postcrossing.
Barbara
