Hey!

I’m Monika, a 21-year-old girl from Slovakia - a small but still beautiful country situated exactly in the heart of the Old Continent!

My dream has finally come true and for this summer term 2012, I am contemporarily studying and living in Paris, France in the exchange programme called Erasmus. For this reason, I had to change my address and now represent France, wow, I still cannot believe it! :) From February to June, I will send you cards from here, hope you understand! Thanks so much!

I’m really happy that there is such a project and I’m looking forward to your cards from all over the world, I’m always curious where the new card will come from!!!

I’d be happy if you could send me a postcard with the picture of your town or region to be able to imagine your environment :) If you aren’t able to get one, it doesn’t matter! I also love:

- cards depicting natural beauties (especially mountains, waterfalls, rivers, Aurora borealis, beaches, the sea, sunsets, forests, meadows full of flowers... - everything that will make me dream) :)
- in winter, I love cards full of snow (if you’re from Finland, you know what I’m talking about :)); in spring, I love cards where nature wakens up; in summer, I love when the sun shines on the postcard; in autumn, I love cards with parks covered by leaves...:)
- Christmas, Easter and other seasonal cards are more than welcome :)
- animal cards (every animal will be appreciated but I prefer those which are cute, not very common or which are special for your region - giraffes, elephants, lions, tigers, koalas, kangaroos, squirrels, butterflies, bears, hedgehogs...)
- funny cards which will make me laugh
- Anne Geddes photos of those lovely babies :)
- Thomas Kinkade cards (they are simply marvellous!!!)
- "Did you know?" postcards
- scenes of ordinary life (you know, someone sitting on a bench in a park etc.)
- pictures of any means of transport (especially trains and buses)
- something typical for your town / region / country
- anything pretty and nice (if you have enough time, go and see my favourites, they will tell you more ;)

But really don’t worry, I promise I will enjoy your card rather for itself, not so much for its cover!!!

By the way, I’m maniacly interested in foreign languages - I study English and French at university, I hope to be a translator once! Moreover, I’m learning Spanish and Latin (as other Romance languages) and Polish (because I simply like it). So you can send me cards written in these languages :)
