About Carissa...

My name is Carissa. I am twenty three years old. My mother was a librarian when I was born, so she took me with her to work when I was young so the library could be my babysitter. As a result, I taught myself to read at a very young age and haven't stopped since! I would LOVE to know about any books that have changed your life.

Between my house (where I live with my two cousins and new fiancé, Damon) and my parent's house, I have four cats (Valo, Jade, Zoe, and Drake) and two Pit Bulls (Sasha and Akino) that I love very much. I am a vegetarian, and have been so for over a year now. I have crow feathers tattooed down my back to represent loved ones I have lost - there are currently five, and I need three more. It's too many for how young I am, and each loss changed me deeply.

On September 25th, 2011, my boyfriend of two and a half years proposed to me at a Renaissance Festival in the middle of the jousting pit before a match, in front of 400 people we didn't know. I of course said yes, and can't wait to spend our lives together! If you have any advice for couples that are to be married, please do tell me - I will cherish every bit of it!
