About Mimi...

Hello! Warm greetings from sunny San Diego, California!

Here are some ideas on what kind of cards to send:

All kinds of tasteful art cards, retro, books, movies, celebrities, black & white photography, food, or anything unusual (the weirder the better). I also love interesting doors and architecture. And if you have a card with a picture of a goat or goats, I'm your gal! Check out my favorites on my postcard wall for more ideas.

I'm not very fond of typical tourist cards or cutesy, dogs/cats, sports. And please no folded (greeting) cards or envelopes.

You can send me homemade cards, if you're an artist.

When in doubt, send me something green. It's my favorite color!

Tell me something interesting about you, what you had for breakfast, a favorite quote, or your most embarrassing moment (I won't tell a soul!). But if you'd rather not, I don't mind a simple "Happy Postcrossing" written sincerely.

My birthday is in November, so you can send me a birthday card if you wish - and I love getting Christmas/New Years/holiday cards when the time comes as well.

If you include your address, I might send you a postcard back (although lately it takes me a while to send them)! And I love pretty or unusual stamps. It would be nice if you wrote the date on your card too.

I register cards the day they are received. If I haven't registered your card it means I have not received it. I have lots of expired cards - unfortunately it happens that a card is lost. If you really want me to register your card, you can try sending a replacement card, maybe I'll get that one.

UPDATE: I've recently joined Weight Watchers. If you would like to send me a card with healthy eating or exercise as a theme, or just some words of encouragement to eat healthy and exercise more, I'd welcome it. Please just don't send me any demeaning fat people cards, that won't help me a bit.

Thanks for reading and Happy Postcrossing!
