Hello Postcrossing friends!

My name is Katie, and I live in Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah. We are twenty minutes away from great skiing and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Here's a short (5 minute) video showing my beautiful state. https://youtu.be/6EAKZ92dXP4

I work at the intersection of education and technology, building partnerships with experts across the industry. I love my job, and would love to hear about yours, too!

I live with my husband, our 5 year old daughter, my mother, a cat, a dog, and a few chickens. We have a very happy life, and I hope you will tell me all about your life too. :)

My avatar shows me sailing off the coast of Santorini. Recently we have also visited Ireland, Austria, Hungary, Cuba, Italy, London, Paris, Alaska, Hawaii, South Africa, Norway, Greece, and Brazil. I have upcoming trips to India and Australia that I'm excited about!

-good food (my husband is a chef, and we try to support local farms in our home kitchen!)

-the outdoors (hiking and camping!)
-feminism, lifting up women and girls (love cards showing women around the world and in art)
-visiting national, state, and local parks
-birdwatching
-growing fruits and vegetables

-visiting new places in my town or somewhere else (I travel regularly and have lived in many regions of the US)
-stopping to enjoy the beautiful things in life (a lovely view, a pretty flower, a nice sunset, someone laughing, a perfectly prepared meal)
-reading all genres of books, National Geographic magazine
-looking at maps
-playing video games
-warming myself in the sunshine

-college football (the American kind), Clemson University
-the beach, the mountains
-music (folk, bluegrass, retro rock, alt-country, some pop)
-playing with my dog and cat
