About Alix...

Hi! My name is Alix.
I live in Tucson, Arizona, with my husband and our two cats, although I was born and grew up in Texas. Tucson is in the Sonoran Desert, which is the most biologically diverse desert in the world. Being a desert, we get plenty of sunshine. :-)

I work as a landscape ecologist and am a vegetarian (although my husband is not). I enjoy many things: spending time with my husband, traveling, playing volleyball, hiking, camping, reading, scrapbooking, hanging out with family and friends, and eating (who doesn't like eating?!).

I also very much enjoy getting mail and postcards from all over and look forward to receiving yours. I am not picky about what I receive, but some I would particularly like include:

- landscapes and typical scenery of your country
- houses/local architecture
- traditional attire from your country
- traditional food from your country
- wildlife (birds, bugs, rodents, mammals, lizards)
- flowers (especially sunflowers and daisies)
- pictures of livestock (cows, sheep, horses, yaks, llamas, etc.)
- anything funny
