About Andy...

Hi my name is Andy. I live on the central California coast with my wife of 34 years. Having spent 24 years in the U.S. Navy as a Russian linguist, I traveled extensively. During my naval career I spent a total of ten years in Japan. Mostly in northern Japan in a small town called Misawa in Aomori Prefecture. Thats where I picked up my Japanese. I spoke Ukrainian as a child because my grandparents immigrated from Ukraine, from a small village called Sudova Vishnya in western Ukraine in a region called Galicia (Halichina). Unfortunately, my Ukrainian is a bit rusty since I don't get a chance to use it anymore. I currently work as the operations manager for a property management company in Carmel, California. One of my current hobbies is stamp collecting. I enjoy receiving cards with unique stamps from around the world. It's not so much about the postcard, it's all about the stamps. I do not remove the stamps from the cards though.
