About Ali...

Hello and Greetings from Australia.

I have been doing Postcrossing for over a year and continue to love and be delighted by the thoughtful messages and inspiring cards that fellow Postcrossers send me...
I live in a beautiful part of the world which is a World Heritage listed national park, its over 2 hours from Sydney, Australia's largest city.
I am really into art, photography and crafts. Postcrossing images can add to my inspiration : )

What sort of cards do I like to receive?

-Art
-Printmaking
-Craft
-Nouvelles
-Handmade or vintage toys
-Fashion -millinery, shoes
-Textiles
-Retro
-Vintage
-Orange
-Children's book Illustrations - Alice in Wonderland my favourite story!
-Alphabet
-Typography
-Retro advertising
-Creepy Cute illustrations
-Fruit and Vegetables
-Homemade
-Political Propaganda
-Mail themes- stamps, postboxes
-Very old postcards (pre 70's), don't mind if age stained.
-Old Cameras
-B&W photography
-Photos from well known or historical photographers (Man Ray, Ansel Adams, Andre Kertesz, Edward Western, Bill Brant but contemporary ones too,)

If anyone has a postcard on or about Django Reinhardt I would be very happy!

I really love it when Postcrossers go to the effort and show me what they can create by making an handmade card. I find these cards so special. I enjoy having the opportunity myself!

For extra ideas on what sort of imagery I like, feel free to look at my tumblr link above.

I don't want to seem demanding and I understand if you have nothing else, but as beautiful as your town/city and/or famous cathedral/building is, I am not keen on these cards.I am not big on tourist style cards in general.
If you have one do of these types of cards (tourist/town) that is very old or vintage I don't mind those because they are historical photography so feel free to send. if an old card is creased, weathered or stained don't be shy about sending it-it adds to its history : ) I particularly like vintage tourist cards. I hope this is not confusing : ) Thanks for understanding.

As it is the beginning of the year and I have seen other Postcrossers do it so I am this year trying month themes. So if you are keen send me something of the theme : )

January 2013 - Umbrellas/Parasols
February 2013 - Hearts/red/valentine
March 2013 - portrait
April 2013 - flowers/spring
May 2013 - pattern/ decoration

I really enjoy the date on the card the gorgeous messages and lovely stamps.

Thank you in advance!
Ali
