About Nick...

First of all, who am I?

My name is Nick and I’m from the Netherlands. The land which is mostly known as Holland. A country well-known for it’s soccer, windmills, ‘the land of tulips’, bicycles and .. drugs. Well I hope I won’t disappoint you, but I do not walk on clogs, don’t do any drugs and I defiantly do not see any tulips around my house. The image the most people will have of Holland doesn’t really fit my life. But, enjoy the idea. The Netherlands really is a nice country to live my life.

What’s this all about? Postcards!

Well. When I started using postcrossing I bought lots of postcards I like. ‘Loesje’, ‘Where’s Waldo?’, ‘The art of Vintage DC Comics’, ‘Japanese postcards’ and ‘Earth song’. I really didn’t know what I would like to receive. Do I know it today, 210 days of postcrossing later? No, still not perfectly. I try to favourite really nice cards. These favourites are received cards, sent cards ánd cards I would love to receive. But, to make it a bit more easy; What would I, woordenstroomwaanzin, like to receive?

First of all I have to say I almost like all kinds of cards. So, a wise lesson I have learned is to let people surprise you. Send me something nice. Something you like, something special. Ignore the wishes! But are there Wishes? Off course there are preferences.
- Cards like ‘Loesje’ – wise quotes
- Vintage cards
- Pin-up cards
- Colourful cards
- Comic cards
- Where’s Waldo?!-cards
- Cards with people on it!
(White people, black people, Asian people, thin, thick, people without any clothes on,
strange people, ordinary people, people at work. Children.. All sorts of people!)

Anything more? Yes!

If possible, I would like to ask you to date the card and write something in your native language (especially Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian … It’s nice to see another alphabet!) If it’s all too much, that’s okay. Just please, do not send an empty postcard..

What should the text on the card be like?

I would love to get a question from you. I tend to ask everyone a question on the cards I send. So, I would love to receive your question about love, live or laughs so I can answer it in the hurray! Also, if you have (little) children or like to draw … I would love to see drawings on the cards!

Last, but not least ..
If you have send me a card and it got expired, or it just takes way longer than normal.. Please send me a message. We can work something out together.

I can’t wait to see the card(s) you have chosen to sent me!
Happy Postcrossing!
