Hello, my name is Casper and I am a 35 year old historian. I am married and live in an old town in the Netherlands. I love to read, I love music and I am very interested in geography and history. I also like travelling, meeting friends, ice skating, maps of underground railways, Berlin, Iceland and chocolate.

I like to receive stamped postcards with a hand written message. Please mention the town from where you send the card and the date.

I would really to receive a postcard of AN INTERESTING PERSON FROM YOUR COUNTRY. It could be a writer, an actor, a musician, a politician, a sportsman, anybody who to your opinion is interesting and relevant for your country. He or she could be a historical person, or someody who is alive today. He or she could be a real person or a fictitious person, like a character in a movie or a children's book. It doesn't necessarily have to be an internationally famous person, as long as it is somebody you have an opinion of. Please tell me, why you picked that specific person.

Another thing I would like to read about is: The main meal you eat today.

I really like vintage postcards, especially from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

I am very interested in what you'll write to me! For me the message is the most important part of the postcard. When I write a postcard myself, I usually try to fill the backside of the card with words.
IF YOUR ENGLISH IS NOT GOOD, FEEL FREE TO WRITE IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE, even if I can't read it. I will probably find someone who can translate it for me :-)

My favorite musicians are: Johnny Cash, Sharon Shannon, Sam Cooke, Luka Bloom, Cesaria Evora, Howlin' Wolf, Hildegard Knef, Neil Young, Waylon Jennings and Guy Clark.
