About Michael...

I am active on Where's George? (http://www.wheresgeorge.com). It allows people to track their US dollar bills across the country and the world. I heard of Postcrossing from someone who is a member of both sites, and decided to give it a try. I've been collecting Where's George gathering postcards, where people from the site get together, and many send postcards from the gathering to those who can't attend.
I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in May 2010, with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. I'd like to return to my high school as a Spanish teacher. If you speak Spanish, I'd love a postcard written in Spanish!
I'd like postcards showing sights from your area (especially historic or otherwise significant buildings and architecture); anything music-related (especially involving the piano or organ); advertising postcards (especially ones that advertise a product, service, or company strongly identified with or unique to where you live); and cards showing religious architecture or other religious topics, no matter which religion. Postcards that celebrate a holiday or festival,(whether local, national, or world-wide; religious or secular) sent at the appropriate time would also be greatly appreciated, although I welcome anything (yes, even handmade cards). I also like interesting stamps. Keep in mind that even the boring definitive stamps that you see on mail every day can be interesting to someone from another country who has never seen them -- so don't be afraid to use those too! I also like when multiple stamps are used to make up the current postal rate, because it gives me the opportunity to see more stamps from your country. If you're from the Netherlands, I'd like to see the new Postcrossing stamps. One final thing: If you have a scanner, and are willing to do this, can you please scan the message side of the card you RECEIVE FROM ME, and send to m.petruzzi@hotmail.com. I would like to see what postal markings the card has acquired on its journey. Thank you for reading and Happy Postcrossing!
