Hello Postcrossers!

I'm a postcard collector from Georgia, US. I love everything that is country or rustic, as well as nature, animals, changing seasons, and reminders of days long past. I am also a huge history buff. I believe our collections are a reflection of our personalities. For me, postcards are perfect because I've a fondness for snail mail and that is combined with being able to collect beautiful images that I love.

SHORT PROFILE

If you dislike long profiles, feel free to just choose a (real) postcard you feel is beautiful or that you love yourself and send it my way! I'd especially appreciate a "normal" size postcard and preferably single view if possible. Just PLEASE don't send me junk, I would never do that to you. =]

LONG PROFILE

Here are some specifics on cards I collect, if you'd like to send something for my collection. If you don't have these types of cards, no worries! Any card chosen with thought is appreciated. =]

I collect (mainly)...
-Single views or illustrations
-Continental size (average 4x6 inches or 10x15 centimeters)
-REAL postcards
-Modern postcards

I don't so much collect...
-Bigger cards
-General multiviews (multiple views of locations on one card)
-Old, vintage, or damaged cards (vintage reprints are fine)
-Ad, free, homemade/printed, greeting (folded) cards
-Perforated cards (from postcard books usually)

Themes I'm fond of...
Rustic, rural countryside, old buildings such as barns, old European castles or castle ruins, historical, snow or winter, autumn, beautiful landscapes and natural scenery, animals, sea life, holiday or Christmas postcards, culture, national symbols or costumes, Diddl, Tatty Teddy, trolls, gnomes, beautiful lighthouse views, really anything beautiful on a postcard.

A few themes I'm not especially fond of...
Nightviews, food/recipes, general town or city views (I like really beautiful ones), buildings in general...

If possible, I prefer cards unwritten in an envelope (with a little note if you have time), to protect them from our postal machines. Otherwise, written and stamped is fine also, especially with lovely stamps and a nice message. Please don't send me cards written in an envelope, I don't like them. I always prefer US cards unwritten please as that's how I collect them. You can find my collection on my Flickr link if you're interested.

NOTE!
If you should happen to be able to send one of my favorites (including wish cards on Flickr) or Rolf Lidberg trolls UNWRITTEN in an envelope, I would love to send you a return card (or cards), so please make sure your address is clearly written. (Please write on the envelope before putting card inside or the front of the card can be ruined.) Return cards will be mailed according to your preference and I will of course read your profile and check your faves. =]
