I've lived all over the USA, in Russia, the Czech Republic and Belgium and my wife was born and raised in Hong Kong--travel is important to us and we can't wait to share that with our kids. I collect postcards, postmarks, stamps, books and games. My children study different countries every month at their school in a "Passport Geography" program; I make a display in the library display window every month using postcards and stamps from the different countries they're studying.
If you send me a card, it really doesn't matter what's on it: your town, some art, whatever; I'll collect it because it came from a 'fellow postcarder'. Do you want some suggestions? OK--local libraries; local wine growing or a winery; map cards. I would really appreciate some nice stamps from your country, too!
