This PTTK lodge was opened July 9, 1922. It is the oldest and longest continually operating lodge in Polish Silesian. The hostel is located on Czantoria Wielka, a mountain on the border of Poland and the Czech Republic.
Polskie Towarzystwo Turystyczno-Krajoznawcze, PTTK, (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) is a Polish non-governmental tourist organization with 312 branches across the country. It is one of the oldest tourist societies in Europe, created in 1950 by the merger of the Polish Tatra Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie) founded in 1873 and the Polish Sightseeing Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Krajoznawcze) (1906).
