Why does my password not work on the forum?

The Postcrossing forum is a separate website from postcrossing.com. As such, you must complete a separate registration process to access the forum. You'll need to read and agree to the forum rules, and then register using the same username that you have on postcrossing.com.

Once you have completed the registration, an email with a temporary password is sent to you. After logging in on the forum with this password, we recommend that you immediately change it using the User Control Panel.

Remember that the two systems are separate, so if you change your password on postcrossing.com, it is not changed on the forum and vice versa.
