What are the new Terms of Service and what do they mean for me?

The purpose of Postcrossing's new Terms of Service is to set up some ground rules for the website, and explain what is expected of both the members and the website. They function as a contract between you and Postcrossing, and help to legally protect both parties.

The new Terms of Service have been written in collaboration with a group of postcrossers from around the world, who expressed their concerns and suggested ideas for modifications. With their input and feedback over several months, we were able to reach a final version, which took effect on March 10th, 2014.

If you agree with the new Terms of Service, you don't need to do anything and may continue using the website as usual.

If, however, you do not agree with the new Terms of Service, you should terminate your account on the Postcrossing project, as they will automatically apply to all Postcrossing accounts after March 10th. You can do that here. We'll be sad to see you go, but we understand.
