I'm Emma/祺云(Qiyun), majoring in development economics, and minoring in peace studies, philosophy, and public policy.

Many postcards I send are customized from pictures I took while traveling to countries surrounding the UAE. I love capturing people at work or socializing, sceneries of clashing modernism with traditional architecture, strange slogans/quotes/things and details of buildings and objects. Others are acquired during my trips to other MENA countries.

I spent my childhood in Xi'an, China, most of my middle and high school in the U.S (WA, PA, FL), and now attending university in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I just returned from study-away semester in Tel Aviv, Israel, focusing on topics including but not limited to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israeli politics, and biblical archeology. I became a sympathizer of Palestinians after witnessing the bleak consequences of the Israeli Occupation myself by traveling to the West Bank.

I love visiting museums, cooking, dancing and I try to read at least 50 books a year. Books I finished lately includes The Conquest of Bread, The Iraq Inquiry, and Crying in H Mart, and I'm revisiting some Marxist works. I've been playing a Chinese instrument called Guzheng（古筝）for 15 years and wants to learn the Qanun (قانون, I got a Turkish one from Mardin).

World Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage
Painting/Art Related (Renoir, Cezanne, Francisco Goya, Ingres, Rembrandt and Fragonard are among my favorites)

Handmade cards are surely welcomed but no ad cards and no multi-view cards please ;))))
