About p_penelope...

I like running, reading, listening to music, art, cooking, and traveling. I also enjoy mid-century modern design and anything to do with Latin America.

I would love to receive postcards with:
images from/of Latin America (landscape, people, cities, buildings, art, etc.)
pictures of food from your area (or write a note on your card about a food tradition or speciality from where you live) or recipe postcards
famous women from your town or country
holiday cards (no Christian messages, please)
Art Nouveau/Alphonse Mucha art
anything showing what you love doing/collecting/etc.

I will be happy with any card and a little note about your favorite food, musician, book/author. Or tell me about your passion in life -- your hobby or mission or the thing that drives and motivates you! Handcrafted postcards are fine too. Thank you!

This cool thing happened: March 19, 2019, I received three postcards --TW-2729344, TW-2729345, and TW-2729346, all mailed on March 10.

And then on Feb. 12, 2020, I received DE-8953461 and DE-8953462!

On January 24, 2022, I received two Alphonse Mucha cards (DE-11332312 and NL-5139843), both of which were sent on Jan. 7. It gets better: then I realized that the Mucha card (DE-11332244) I got on Jan. 23 was also sent on Jan. 7! Was it Alphonse Mucha Day?? I love these Postcrossing coincidences.

February 12, 2022: Today I received two cards, both from different Postcrossers in Scottsdale, Arizona (US-8209632 and US-8197021).

July 20, 2018: I received CN-2194920, a year after it was sent so it is too late to register it.
April 15, 2019: I received CN 2361295, which was sent Dec. 3, 2017. Thank you, Lin Yang, for the great card!
Also on April 15, 2019, I received IN-281862 which was sent over a year ago. And the entire message on the postcard had been rubbed out or washed away. It's a lovely card and great stamps, so thanks!
