Hi! I live in the Quad Cities (IA/IL, USA) along the Mississippi river. I work in a college library and am studying to become a librarian someday. Among other things, I like video games, writing, cats, food, fiction, tarot, and pixel art.
My favorite part of getting postcards is the back side--the message you write. Share something about your language or dialect (even if it's English) or about your city/area's culture, a subculture you belong to, your religion, etc. If you know Japanese, German or Spanish, I would LOVE if you wrote your whole message in that language. :)
I'm not picky about the front side, but I would especially like:
-Homemade (cut from a food box, drawn, unusual materials...)
-Trains, subways (and buses and bridges)
-Maps (including subway/bus maps and humorous ones)
-Contrasting colors (especially blue and orange)
If you still don't know what to send me... do you have a card that you don't think you'd ever use because it's weird or ugly, and no one would ever like it? Send that one!
Regarding stamps--I don't collect stamps, but I do enjoy looking at interesting ones. If your country does special Eid stamps, I'd appreciate those too!
In addition to direct swaps, I am open to also becoming penpals, especially in English and Japanese.
