My name is Gordon and I live in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
I was born and raised in India and moved to the US a couple of years ago to pursue higher education. I work in the IT sector. I have a pretty boring 9-5 desk job which, don't get me wrong, I love!
Along with Postcrossing, I love Geocaching, drinking tea, reading books, shopping, and cooking.
I was 14 years old when I started collecting stamps and I fell in love with snail mail, philately, writing letters, fountain pens and all the wonderful stationary related things that that this hobby comprises of.
Time passed, things changed, and my interest in snail mail faded. Years later a friend of mine introduced me to Postcrossing and I was instantly smitten. Everything that I loved as a little child came back rushing to me.
I don't have any preferences in the postcards I like to receive. You can send me absolutely anything! A stranger taking 2 minutes out of his/her life to writing to me; that is what is important to me. Not the card, itself.
Don't sweat about the front of the card. It's the back that matters most to me (Believe me, the cards that you send me will not go in a box in the corner of the house never to be seen again)
I encourage you to write anything that you'd like to share: You can tell me what makes you happy, what is our favorite childhood memory(or any for that matter), a travel experience you cherish, tell me why you chose that particular postcard for me, recommend to me your favorite book, movie... You get the idea...
On the other hand, if you can add to my collections, please do. It'll make me very happy :)
Postcards I like collecting:

***Philately is another hobby of mine. So, commemorative stamps are most welcome. ***
