I prefer tourist postcards that tell me something about your country or your culture. Photos of buildings or monuments, aerial views, landscapes, city views, maps, flags, etc, are what I like. I especially like opera houses and theaters. Colorful cards with bright colors also make me happy.
Germans- My grandparents were from Lohr am Main (actually Lohr-Sackenbach), so if you have cards from that region, I would love to see them. I visited there 20 years ago, and I just returned from a second visit in August 2019. I had a wonderful time.
I am trying to learn more German, so feel free to write in German if you can. Please keep it simple, since the German I know is a combination of academic classes and the Bavarian dialect my grandparents spoke.
I live in the State of Virginia on the Atlantic coast of the US. I live very close to the border between the States of virginia and North Carolina.
Most of my cards will be mailed from home, but since Postcrossing has "travel mode" now, you might see a different country, or different location in the US on the map for the postcard.
Favorite travel quote:
***"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain
