About J-O...

Pleased to make your acquaintance! I am J.O. Goatington Esquire, III, a proud and stately Boer goat. Yes, the avatar is a photo of me, however I don’t think it shows my best side. Handsome, regal, muscular, bold, brave and dignified are just a few of the descriptive terms my admirers toss around. But I also have a heart of gold.

Alfalfa, sweet feed, and corn are my favorite foods. Pour a little molasses on my grain and I’ll be your friend forever. I love long walks through the goat pasture at sunrise, tender green weeds to share with my lady friends, and warm summer weather. I strongly dislike rain, snakes of any sort, and flies and other nasty things that bite.

I have a roomy stall in a most comfortable barn, and I like to decorate the walls with postcards. Anything colorful will be most appreciated. (Ok, so the postcards are REALLY stored in an album in the house, but the story wouldn't sound nearly as good that way, would it?)

If you prefer to send a card chosen for a theme, please send a card that shows: *Happiness* (However you interpret that!)

Otherwise: Some of my favorite postcards show things that are very popular in your country and Greetings From by PostalLove. I also greatly admire those wonderfully wacky and unique unofficial Greetings From (such as "Earth", "Texas", "Pizza", etc).

My Favorites will give you an idea of the type of cards I would like to receive. UNESCO WHS cards are perfect for me, if you can send one of the sites I don't already have, as I can trade them to my caregiver for a second helping of food! (It’s not easy being top goat of the herd --- I have to keep my strength up, you know.)

My cards are listed at the links below. Please, if you send an UNESCO card, mark it "UNESCO" as it is sometimes hard for me to know. I greatly appreciate postage stamps that are not the usual ones, and I am particularly fond of the Year of the Rat postage stamps.

Thank you in advance, and please --- eat more chicken! (They are MUCH tastier than goat!)
