Hi fellow postcrosser!
I'm Imre, a 24 year old (male) from the Netherlands. I work in Dutch (national) politics. Before this, I finished a bachelor in Human Geography and a master Sustainable Development. I live in Alphen aan den Rijn, a relatively small city between Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague in the Netherlands.
Some things about me:
- I love reading books, especially Stephen King
- I love different (and differences between) cultures
- I really like movies
- I have a beautiful dog (as you can see ;), although she is a little bigger by now)
I really like postcards of country specific things, so tourist cards are very welcome. The cards I like the most are the following: local nature (especially 'wide views' of beautiful landscapes/water), skylines, UNESCO, other landmarks and folklore (fairy tales, legends etc.). You can also check my favourites to see what type of cards I like of course!
There are also some card I do not really like. Those are cards with art, music, cards with only text, hand-made cards (so please, no cardbox cutouts & self printed photo-cards either), cards with pets (wild animals are ok!) and multi-view cards. And please, no ad-cards :).
I really love hand-written cards, they are much more personal than those with computer printed text on them. I would love it therefore if you could write them by hand (including the address), instead of via a computer (I prefer a bad handwriting over a printed text any day!) Would you be so kind to specify the date on the card? Very often the date (if there is any) on the stamp is unreadable, and I like to know what date you send it :).
Besides postcards, I also love the stamps on them. So could you please not mail the postcards in an envelope, but just a card with the stamp on it? Thank you :). If there are any 'special' stamps in your country, I would be really happy if you could use them. I love special ones :). I am especially curious for the British 'magical realms' stamps (showing famous wizards and witches, such as Merlin & Dumbledore). It would be absolutely marvellous if you could use such a beautiful stamp if you are from the United Kingdom!
If you don't know what to write about, maybe this can give you some inspiration:
I would love it if you put a proverb or poem from your country on it (with a translation to English) :). I also like it if you write something about yourself, for example: what job/study do you do/follow?
If you made it this far: thank you for reading my profile :). I hope to hear from you soon!
