About FliegenderGaukler...

Hello dear fellow postcrosser!

My name is Amelie and I´m a university student majoring in hydrology. Since I´m a naturebound person I like to spend time in the forest and parks. I´m a music & language geek & a catlover. Besides that I love to cook, read books, spend time with my boyfriend, writing letters & postcards amongst other things...

I joined postcrossing because I´d love to learn more about the world and not because I´m a postcard collector. Hence I´d love to ask you to write some text on the card! You need inspiration for your text? I´d ♥ to know about:
- your hobbies/interests/pets/childhood hero
- your favorite books/music/dish/quote
- a funny or interesting anecdote from your life
- What/Who does inspire you? Why?
- Do you have an idol? Who is it & why?
- Do you have any dreams?
- Teach me a few phrases of your language :)
I speak English, German, Latin and very little Spanish and Portuguese. You can write to me in these languages, but also in: French, Italian, Dutch, Afrikaans, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. I also understand a very little bit of Esperanto.
Since my boyfriend is quite interested in the cards I receive, you might like to greet him, too. His name is Erik. It´d be a nice surprise for him. :)

As of postcard motives I don´t have any specific wishes. As noted above the text is more important to me! If you still want to please me with the image as well here are some hints: I do love nature views (mountains, deserts, lakes, rivers, wide plains etc.), vineyards & rice terraces, sailing ships, cruise ships, civil airplanes, lighthouses, city views, castles & palaces, animals (esp. cats, raptors, sheep, foxes, squirrels, raccoons, merkats, lemurs, donkeys, kangaroos & hares), (seasonal) cards related to local festivities, polaroid cards, vintage travel posters or the cards issued by Aquarupella or Cavallini & Co.. Or have a look at my favourites for further inspiration.

For Czech members: I ♥ Maria Brozova´s art (www.pastelky.cz). If you happen to have such a card, I´d love to receive it. :) That would be a huge pleasure for me :)

For European members: I love castles and am thrilled by this year´s (2017) postEurop theme: castles. I´d be highly delighted if you could use your country´s issue of this year´s EUROPA stamp when mailing your card to me. :) Thank you! :) ♥

If you don´t have anything of these themes, just choose a card you like yourself & please tell me why it is important to you. Though I would like to ask you to avoid sending cards with babies (f.e.. Anne Geddes) my way. I don´t like these pictures, so please save them for those who appreciate them.
I prefer my cards written & stamped, but it´s also okay if you sent your cards in an envelope. I give the stamps from envelopes to charities.
Thank you for reading my profile and sending a card my way. I´m looking forward to it :)

Read you soon!
