About Esther...

Hi, my name is Esther, Esso for friends, and I live in Arnhem.
This city is known for having the bridge that was "A Bridge Too Far" during operation Market Garden.
World War 2 is one of my biggest interests, that is why I am a tour guide in a museum about the World War 2. It has it's focus on the Netherlands between 1940 and 1945.
Another one of my interests is the Titanic. 2012 should be an interesting year, since it is the 100th anniversary of her sinking.

I have a son, who is 22 and he is in the army. He has a girlfriend and his own house, but he lives in the same city as his mother! We do like to go out together and have a beer, and our next project is to get a tattoo together.

My favourite band is Keane, and I like Amy Macdonald as well. Actually I like all kinds of music, from classic to rock.
I love to read (I am currently reading Game of Thrones, book 4). My favourite author is Clive Cussler.
I like watching movies, and one of my favourite movies is "A Bridge Too Far".

BTW: my nickname Esso was given to me by a friend 30 years ago. I decided to get a tattoo before my 40th birthday with the Esso-tiger and the logo! So I did and I wear it with pride!!!

I like any kind of postcards, especially when they portrait a city or village. Show me your hometown (or your parents/grandparents/brothers and/or sisters/best friends/your nicest colleague's hometown). Show me the monuments, churches, the park, beautiful nature, the place where you had your first kiss...(just kidding). Be my tour guide! In return, should you ever visit Arnhem, I will be your tour guide and show you my hometown!

For more inspiration: I am collecting images of the Virgin Mary... and the Esso-tiger.
No add-cards please (unless they have an Esso-image).

Well.....happy Postcrossing!
Esso
