DocSchuette(or Holger) is a member in Germany . He has been a member for over 6 years (2,331 days).
my name is Holger, I'm married and I live in a former farmhouse in a village near Hildesheim in Germany. My avatar is ia part of the front side of that house.
For me postcrossing is a wonderful opportunity to learn about different people, about other countries and traditions, to break down prejudices and - this turned out to be most important for me - to get acquainted with dear (pen-)friends in different countries. I appreciate this project very much!
Muitos agradecimentos a Paulo Magalhães!
- music (listening (from J.S. Bach to Within Temptation ... my actually favourite is Katie Melua) and singing in several choirs),
- reading (belletristic as well as scientific items (for instance maths, physics, history, linguistics, ...)),
- writing and
- all kind of logical puzzles.
I like each postcard (but not touchnote) which YOU decide to send to me.
If you want some suggestions: I like postcards with
- impressions from the country or the place where you live,
- railroads, trains
- UNESCO heritage sites,
- beautiful places,
- Jugendstil (art nouveau) pictures,
- romantic cards.
If possible please use beautiful stamps. (And I will always try to send such.)
I would be glad to read something about your dreams on the card. What do you desire at most?
You may also tell me about your country, your town, ...
What is the place I should go to, if I'm on holiday in your country or even in your town?
If you want to visit Germany, esp. the region of Hildesheim, I invite you to tea or coffee - just send me a message.
Love and peace to you
PS: My wife collects little sachets of sugar. If you send your postcard in an envelope, it would be great, if you could include one. Thanks a lot :-) !
PPS: During the last months I had asked at this place to send congrats on 50th anniversary of the school where I'm a teacher. I received about 150 mails referring to that anniversary. A big thank you to all, who sent those messages.
In June I will prepare a kind of exhibition of those mails at our school and I will report about it at this place.
