The microscopic text on the postcard says that collecting of matchbox cover art is called phillumeny which reminds of the word for stamp study which is philately. Philatelists may also be be stamp collectors but not always. Phillumeny refers to the collection of match-related items like matchboxes, match covers, match safes etc. I learned quite a bit today! |
