This nearly extinct antlered species of rabbit is found almost exclusively on the high plains of Wyoming. A distinguishing characteristic is his ability to mimic human sounds. His lonely cry, which resembles a mournful singing, can sometimes be heard on moonlit nights. During daylight hours the Jackalope hides among the rocks and sagebrush.
