What is the World Postcard Day badge? How do I get one?



By sending a postcard through Postcrossing on October 1st (World Postcard Day), you’ll earn a special badge on your profile when that postcard is registered. The more years you take part, the higher your badge number will grow.

To make sure no one misses out because of timezones, we count postcards requested on October 1st in either your local time OR in UTC (the timezone that the Postcrossing website uses). That means sometimes the date you see on the website might not match the date in your own country — but don’t worry! If it was October 1st where you live when you requested the address, your postcard still counts.

To keep things simple, all eligible postcards are marked with a little ⭐️ next to their Postcard ID on your Traveling Postcards page.
