My name is Elke, I come from Germany and I am 59 years old. I work as an assistant of a tax accountant. My favourite leisure activities are cycling, reading books, ancrestry research, doing handicraft work and spending time with my children who are 24 and 28 years old. I love our dogs and tortoise.

I always collected the postcards I received and I even have some postcards my grandma owned a long time ago. Throwing any away always means to forget and let beautiful memories go - this would never come to my mind. By watching the countryside on postcards I see the breathtaking beauty of nature which is a way for me to relax and escape the daily stress as a working mother.

I like learning languages, so I would love a phrase in your language (maybe with translation);) So if you don't know what to write about, just write about a typical day in your life, amazing places to visit in your country, an unfamiliar hobby or even a simple recipe...
You may also ask me a question in your own language and I'll try to answer it after registration.

I collect coins from an European countries, especially Finland, Luxembourg, Irland, Belgium and the new EU countries. I would be pleased if you could stick small coins (until about 20 cents) with Sellotape on your postcard. Coins from around the world and "elongated coins" (souvenir token) are welcome too.

I am happy to receive any kind of postcards and I really appreciate beautiful stamps. It would be nice if you wrote the date on your card too. I register my cards the day they arrive. If I have not registered your card send me a message with the ID# and I will register it:)
