My name is Wilma. I am 38 years old and live with my husband and daughter in Groningen. I teach History and Civics, which is a job that I love. History also plays a big part in my personal life. I love reading, experiencing, watching and listening anything that touches on history. Though I’m specialized in medieval England I am interested in all sorts of aspects of history, from micro-history to big history and of all places and times. I would love to hear about your history or things from your culture that you love.
Another big hobby is making my own clothes. I stopped wearing ready-to-wear clothes two years ago. I like the tactile experience and the creativity of making my own garments. I paint, embroider and fix up furniture. I love walking, cycling and nature. My favourite places to visit are Paris, Exmoor, Rome, Northumbria and the American West Coast.
