About Paul...

Hi, I love to travel and plan great road trips. Some of my favourite things I've seen include the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX, USA, The Hotel de Nesle in Paris, France and quite a lot of things in The Land of the Long White Cloud. Oh the Roskilde Festivals in '03 & '04 were amazing.

When travelling, my friends and I like to send postcards from the places we visit. Even if it's just passing through the airport or petrol station we pick one up and post it nearby so that we can say we have contributed to the local economy or as we say we 'Engaged in Commerce' in wherever. (If you stop over in a gas station on the south eastern corner of Utah or have a couple of hours in Singapore between flights you haven't really been there but can contribute to the economy!!)

I love postcards that have character on the writing side. Interesting stamps with a clear postmark. (That's up to the postal worker of course) if the postcard gets little ruffles or is aged by the travel from sender, it's all part of the postcards journey for me so no need for envelopes. I much prefer to get the card and stamp properly franked.(bonus if there is some extra ink stamps on there too)

Since getting started with Postcrossing, I've had some ideas written down here of what I would like to receive, but I am always surprised by the variety out there and look forward to getting a surprise in the post when it comes. So if you have a card you really love and some interesting stamps then send them on.

Just in case - One thing I would love would be Passport Cancellation Stamps like those you can get at the US National Parks. See here: http://t.co/9jovLbmGDp Shakespeare & Company in Paris put a cancellation stamp in the books when you buy them. I love that. if you are near a Park or have a place that does similar stamps nearby I'd love a stamp from wherever. Getting a postcard from a park with their cancelation stamp would be amazing. This is likely to be hard to come by but if you don't ask! :) I would do swaps for these of course.

If you need inspiration then here's a list: Vintage, Retro Futurism, Robots, Zepplins, Murakami, Kurt Vonnegut, John Green, Tim Burton, Dali, Picasso, Henri Cartier Bresson, Huskies, Johnnyswim, Taylor Swift, Almost Famous, The Back to the Future Trilogy, Star Trek(love those US Stamps), Star Wars(love those UK Stamps), Empire Magazine, Yoga, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Swimming, Running, Surfing, Mustangs, Road Trips.

I hope my profile has found you well and wish you many interesting postcards and stories from around the world.
