About Arlene...
Every year I pick a project. 2017 was a year of recovery from a stroke I had in 2016. THis new year, 2018, I am doing two projects. I am going to try to read more (my grown children want me to finally read the Harry Potter series). As well, I want to do another year of grateful picture like I did 5 years ago. I will be taking pictures every day of something I am grateful for. The pictures are put into an album and when I have a bad day, I can look back at everything I am grateful for in my life! Happy New Year!
Here is a great video about our town.

We live in the south central part of British Columbia. The Okanagan valley is also called the "desert of Canada". Our temperatures in the summer can go up to +40C and in the winter can go down to -40C. We get snow every winter, but some are whiter than others. Our town is a tourist spot as people love the beaches of Lake Okanagan and the skiing at BIG WHITE ski slopes.

I have been married 31 years last October. We met in high school. We have 2 grown children and share our home with 2 cats.
I enjoy reading, writing and doing crafts. I love the 4 seasons we have here. Spring is so full of flowers and Summer is warm and bright...Fall is my favorite season, I love the cool air and colours of the changing season. Winter is usually clean and white, crisp and cold.
May I first and foremost express that I am willing to swap, but the one and only thing I am willing to swap are postcards. Postage in Canada, to international countries, is very expensive so I am not able to send more than a postcard. Please do not message me with requests for teabags, money (banknotes or coins), seeds or magnets etc.I will not be able to do it. Thank you.
I would be more than happy with most postcards.(I do NOT enjoy typical tourist postcards, advertising and rude cards), but if you'd like some suggestions, I would love to see:
- cards with bright colours (THIS IS MY FAVORITE)
- cards with things that are meaningful to you
-whimsical cards
-funny cards
-cards that make you happy
One of my favourite quotes is:
"Always listen to your heart. It's on your left side but it will always be RIGHT."
